We've been at the forefront of this evolution, understanding its nuances and harnessing its power for the legal profession. We’re not alone of course with Microsoft understanding the power of prompting for some time now.
Introduction of LegalPromptGuide.com
In July '23, we launched LegalPromptGuide.com, a testament to our belief in the transformative power of AI and prompting in law. This how-to offers attorneys tailored AI prompting guides, giving them the ability to leverage AI to create unparalleled legal insights beyond just normal use of tools like ChatGPT. We’ll continue this commitment with Legal Prompt Guide in 2024 so keep an eye out for our updates. Make sure to sign-up for the regular newsletter we send out.
Fine-Tuning Fumbles
We dabbled with fine-tuning late last year but the results were varied at best. Getting our hands on the right data sets, getting our customers comfortable with us having their data, even if just for their own custom-model, was a tough proposition. The actual output of the fine-tuned models was lackluster. We experimented with several other strategies and hit on a few that are now delivering fantastic results coupled with prompting that, when compared to our competitors, are leagues ahead both in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

You spoke on pricing and we listened. Legal professionals just don’t grok SaaS models and we get it.

In addition to looking for engineering talent that understands how to work with a range of tools (AWS, Azure, MLops, Python, JavaScript, Pinecone, etc) we’re also looking to recruit legal brainiacs to join up as well.
The legal field is evolving and while technology has been a promised that hasn’t delivered for the legal profession as of yet, we firmly believe that AI is going to finally disrupt what can only be called a “broken” model. The ideal candidate would have a few years of experience, a bit of a technical bent and be willing to work with our customers and advisors on how to turn their workflow needs into natural-language prompts that integrate into our platform.
